For the past two years, we've been making a fruited blend with Camerise in small quantities. Also known as haskap or blue honeysuckle, these berries are slightly sweet with a beautiful acidity.
The beer's color is a deep, deep red. It's powerful and very fruit-forward, but still maintains a nice, mellow balance between acidity and astringency.
We didn't have to look very far for a its new name... a blue fruit that makes a blood-red beer: Sang Bleu. Our friend Ammo has outdone himself once again, creating a superb new label to go with its new name.

Maceration of 2-year old lambic with blue honeysuckle.

Deep purple with a tall head. Full of red berries, light wine, a hint of earthy wood, sweet jammy notes. Medium bodied. Gets acidic and sour in the finish. Absolutely delicious.

🙈 this is my 9,000th beer. The nerdiness is almost crippling 😂 Lovely round, lightly tart lambic. Dry raspberry-plum jam. Oak.

Monk's: pours dark red with a pibk head. Aroma is berry, mellow earthy notes, light funk. Pretty mellow beer over all. Not sour at all. Berry, but never had this variety. Extremely drinkable.

20 cl Teku tulip draft at Beer Lovers Bar in Antwerp, Belgium. The pour is a reddish purple, pink with a foamy lasting pink white head, that leaves behind nice coating lace. The aroma is perfume rose, rose hips, and a soft version of the Cantillon funk sour yeast. The taste is soft delicate sweetness, the floral, fruit orange and honeysuckle character and finishes with a nicely integrated soft sour lactic character. I guess the fruit is blue honeysuckle? The palate is light to medium bodied with active carbonation and the fruit sweet sour finish. Delicate nuanced and very drinkable.

Thnx Maakun! Bloody and intense fruity red berry aroma. Strong sour, but not off putting. Warm earthy undertones and woody funk. Very nice. | [2024-09-01 13:45:57] - Locatie: Lunterenstraat - Comment: {label}

Bottle shared. A bit of a gusher. Deep ruby to purple beer with big fluffy pink head. Rhubarb, blueberries, wheat, soft funk, lemon zest, yoghurt, blackberries, herbal tea, something prickly. Just medium sweet and sour. Medium bodied with thick smoothie feel. Very fruity and very nice.

Bottle shared. Pours a beautiful deep purple-ish red body and a dense pinkish head. Aroma's of delicious sweet & sour berries (blueberries notably), with sourness more pronounced retronasal. Flavour is sour, woody, light moderate bitter. Light bodied. Finishes woody and dry, moderate bitter.
