The Stevns variety is known for its small size, deep red/burgundy color and its distinctively complex flavor. It shouldn't be taken lightly that it has been named "Nordic Grape" by many.
Expect a cherry forward, semi-sweet mead with a lingering finish of honey, cherries, and notes of almond, cinnamon and vanilla. The well integrated tannins from cherry skins and oak ties it all together.

Taster showing vinous red.
The nose shows moderately intense notes of bing cherry.
The palate is medium bodied. Pure cherry juice. Mild tartness with a perfect ripe cherry sweetness throughout. One dimensional but done extremely well.

Henrik V. ?? sweet fruity cherry goodness, cherry skins, some caramel and honey sweetness, some light almond accents coming through into the lingering cherry infused finish. Another winner from these guys. Immense.

Thick, really sweet, a bit tart. Lots of red cherries with candied cherry, honey, rich and smooth. Lacks the complexity and dry finish of the free jazz but still very nice.

Deep red, viscous. Fairly intense cherry smell, sweet, bright, fruity. Thick body, syrupy. Taste is sweet, with a great jammy tartness to it. Buckets of cherries, not much pit, just pure cherry pulp flavour. Lovely and rich, maybe a tad too sweet though.
