The dark and characterful nature of a dunkelweizen, refreshing cherry and cosy nights in are all a perfect match.

Brewed with our friends at Neptune Brewery you can expect a complex array of sweet malty flavours, chocolate and toffee in nature, followed by a refreshing cherry tartness and a moreish finish.

28/1/2023. Can shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours clear dark cherry amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of cherry, toffee, light herb, hint of chocolate, dusty edge. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, slightly oily, soft carbonation. Pretty decent.

440ml can from Hop Hideout. Deep amber brown colour, foamy off-white head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of cherry, toffee, milk chocolate. Taste is sweetish, cherry, doughy malt, toffee, some light tartness and tangy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, sourish cherry note at the finish. Nicely drinkable.

Can ordered from Elusive. Aroma first and foremost has what I'd expect from the Hefe - banana and cloves with a (banana)bread element. But, yeah, there are some polite cherries. Opaque cloudy chestnut. Thick foamy off-white head. Oohhh... the cherries are more evident in the flava, bringing a tart but sweet element to the party. This mixes well with the doughy, banana and cloves. Although it's all pretty retrained... light. The tangy sour cherries finish the show. Medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Slips down... compared to some of these which tend to be heavier in my experience.

Pours a deep brown with a red tinge, a small, frothy white head and some tart cherries on the nose. There's a light funky sourness to the taste, and then it’s like a light-bodied best bitter with some fruit malt character
