Smell of roasted malt, caramel, faint tar. Dark brown colour, light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, some ash. Lively carbon. Sweet, lightly bitter. Delicious.

On tap at Apollon Tønsberg. A clear looking dark brown to black beer with a small dark beige head. The aroma has roasted malts, coffee and dark chocolate, with a pleasant touch of dark dried fruit. It's medium to full bodied, dry and soft, with a very smooth carbonation. Roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, milk chocolate and a touch of toffee and dark dried fruit in the flavor. A touch of bitterness too, and some sweetness. Lasting malt driven finish. A really pleasant one, not a thirst quencher, but a beer to enjoy in many situations like by the bonfire, with some hearty food or on a late summer evening. 240619

250ml draught at Apollon in Bergen. Clingy lacing from a patchy surface, black in the glass. Plain roasted dark malty nose. Balanced taste of dark bread, earth, some dried fruits, and chocolate malts. Fine roasted ending. Medium bodied. Like it. Great music in the back. (Bergen 11.06.2022).

From tap at Apollon platebar with Holmen1, HD and JFE 04.10.20. Very dark brown. Diminishing brown head. Fine aroma and taste of roasted barley, roasted malt, cigar box, coffee and pine.Moderate carbonation and good drinkability!

Fra fat på Apollon Platebar, okt-20: En herlig lettdrikkelig porter i klassisk engelsk stil med røstede malter, kaffe og hint av sjokolade. Tørr og elegant. Og med en solid dose mersmak. Brunsvart med ok skum. Hint av bjørnebær og sjokolade i avslutningen.
