Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Hazy golden color with creamy head. Aroma of American Saison yeast, bready fruity and sweet. Good body strength; it has the sweet fruity flavor of Strong Belgian Ales brewed in America, although this one has a bit more of character than the average. Vanilla, it seems a bit oaked; sweetish and boozy final.
I can’t say it’s unpleasant, but it’s very messy.

Orangey-amber, dried flower aroma and spicy hop, light sticky character, has some alcoholic muscle.

650 ml bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy amber with moderate head. Aromas of toasted malts, light tropical fruit, and bread/gum. Flavors of spicy vegetable crackers and toasted malts. Interesting but not that impressive. Hey anything can be a saison...

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, wood, and toasted -- almost burnt -- malt. Flavour is spicy, with notes of Belgian yeast, floral notes, Belgian spices, and wood. Interesting combination of flavours that isn't so typical, but works pretty well. Not the best beer, but still decent.

Bomber - clear dark gold - soapy lace that dissipates rather quickly - highly sweet nose, with notes of honey and baked apples, white grape and grass, tropical fruit, light tartness and a touch of musk - flavor is also quite sweet, with fairly apparent alcohol, as well - flavors of honey, grassy hops, peppery phenols, moderate esters - later there is some white grape, followed by lingering phenols and hot alcohol - really more like a tripel than a saison, but even as a tripel, it’s a bit of a sweet, hot beer - kinda sloppy.

Bomber from Belmont Station. Pours brassy gold with a white head. Aroma is spicy, earthy, grassy. Med body. Flavor is much like a tripel. Spicy, earthy, fruit esters. Finishes dry, a little bitter and spicy, earthy, fruity. Very like a tripel.
