aroma has lots of malts, some dark chocolate, some wood. port wine cellar. intense aroma. 8/10
flavor is roasted malts, faint dark dried fruits, wood, charred wood, roasted malts in the end, charred wood in the end, start a tiny bit sweet but ends very roasted malty and heavy.
A really good imp stout where malts and wood is driving the flavor and where intensity is through the roof. The increasing roasted maltiness and charred woodiness towards and into the end makes it
extra nice. Also the charred woodiness and roasted/smoked maltiness is a lot more smooth than limfjordsporter which i also like a lot
the rum presents itself at times as a dried dark fruity note

Bottle from Kvickly Odder @ Home. Pours pitch black with a small dark brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, rich coffee, chocolate, oak, light vanilla, Rum. Flavor is sweet, rich roast malt, caramel, dark chocolate, coffee, oak, vanilla, Rum, alcohol. Medium to full body, soft to average carbonation, light sweet finish with warming alcohol. Bottle from Kvickly, Odder. Black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, heavy dark chocolate, light dried fruit and light rum. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Dry and light bitter finish with a little warming alcohol. Oily and soft. 270324

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Pitch black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is liquorice, alcohol, some inky tones with mild rum and woof too. Flavour is inky, some liquorice, mild alcohol and some chocolate syrup with a bit spiciness and plum to it. Still rather smooth, and actually somewhat nice wooden dry bitterness in the finish. A bit salty tones too. Pleasant sipper.

ABV: 12.5%. Clear dark black brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, dark malt, chocolate, barrel, wood, oak, alcohol - rum - sweet alcohol, peat touch. Flavor is light heavy sweet with a long duration, chocolate, caramel, sweet malt, oak. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy - smooth, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20240204]

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen (19/03/2022) - black with a beige head. Sweet dark malty with some nice overt rum character shining through, opens up as it warms, notes of toffee and caramel sweetness, cocoa, full bodied, wooden run washed lingering malty finish. Very nice.

50 cl Bottle @ Kvickly Middelfart. Pours Black with an unstable Brown head. Viscious and raw nose of rum, Dark fruit, molasses and alcohol. Slick, vinous and oily. Flavor adds chocolate plus more rum and alcohol. Quite raw and sharp around the edges. Boozy. Quite a disappointment.
