Draft at Vinny & Ted, Chalfont St Peter. Poured almost black in colour with a mostly lasting frothy light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, light caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet and bitter, with a smooth, rich, roasty, sugary, slightly oily, fruity, liqourice bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

[Cask at the Alehouse, Reading.] A glossy black pour with a scant beige head; rich roast coffee aroma; bitter treacle taste with a milky body; and some sooty smoke to finish. Excellent.
