Bottle at 6e Noordelijk Kerst- en Winterbierenfestival, Hoogeveen. Aroma is sweetish malt and raisins at first and finishes with mocha and roasty coffee. Flavour is sweet. Body is just slightly above medium. Nice and easy but sweet Imperial Stout, Quad-ish. Not smashing at all but a decent enjoyable beer.

Bottle. Black. Malt, roast, dried fruit, licorice and soft soapy notes in the aroma. Malty sweet roasty, soft soapy flavor with licorice and caramel. Grassy notes. Slightly alcoholic. Full bodied. Not bad.

Pitch black, tall frothy macropore tan head, half-way lasting, light lacing. Aroma roasted malts, chocolate, liquorice, brown sugar, mocha. Taste light heavy sweet and slightly bitter, roasted malts, chocolate, liquorice, dried leaves. Sweetbitter aftertaste, roasty, spicy and alcohol notes, medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, well-balanced and full brew, good quality.

10-03-17 // bottle from a trade with RW80, thanks! Dark black brown beer with solid biege head. Roasted malts, some coffee, chocolate sweetness,some dried fruits and liquorice. Light bitter finish. Solid.

Bottle shared by a friend, medium sample. Dark brown color, short frothy head. Aroma of roasted malts, slight spicy, bit blackcurrant, some chocolate and coffee. Taste has roasty bitterness, some spices, bit fruity blackcurrant. Feels a bit like a mix between a belgian RIS and English malts. Not bad though.

Bottle at home, black beer, small head. Aroma is malt, light roast, coffee. Taste is the same, dark fruit, some cocoa, bitterdry, some sweetness, not bad.

33 cl. bottle @ my parents in law, Wildervank. Black with a tan head. Hoppy aroma with some coffee, chocolate and roasted malts. Taste is bitter enough for the style but on the sweet side. Carbonation is lively. Really nice imperial stout and much better than the others beers I tried so far from this brewery.

Sampled @ Camping Ratebeers 2015, day after. Opaque dark brown color, average to medium sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, lightly roast, some liquorice, liquorice bitter. Decent body and carbonation.

Ik voelde er niets voor om de volgende ochtend na Camping Ratebeer ’15 de auto in te stappen met net achter de kiezen deze stout. Schenkt donkerbruin tot zwart met goede mooie schuimige fijne bruine kraag. Aroma van chocolade, geroosterd gerst mout, vanille, bruine suiker, licht zuur. Smaken zijn mooi stevig, glad en romig, volmoutig van geroosterde gerst, vanille, chocolade, koffie, matig/redelijk zoet, matig bitter, alcoholisch, zoethout, medium body, lage en zachte co2, lange prettige afdronk. Absoluut zijn beste brouwsel, naast vele zeer matige.

At Camping Ratebeers, morning session. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of liquorice, roasted malts, molasses, bay leaves, soy. Flavour is sweet, liquorice, lots of bay leaf, molasses, light metallic, lots of sugar, soy, roast bitter finish. Medium bodied.
