Wir schreiben Freitag, den 13. Aufgrund des Coronavirus müssen die Beisl zumachen und die Grenzen werden dicht gemacht. Also machen wir das beste draus und greifen ins private Bierlager und machen eine eigene Bierreise. Beginnen wollen wir in Tschechien, genauer Sokolov (dt. Falkenau). Dort erstand ich in der Weihnachtszeit im dortigen Brauereilokal unter anderem dieses Bier, das jetzt an bessere Zeiten erinnert. Es ist ein NEIPA, das mit ordentlich Galaxy-Hopfen gebraut wurde. Erst einmal fällt der riesige Schaumberg auf, der einfach nicht zusammenfallen will. Optisch ist es im Gegensatz anderer NEIPAs recht hübsch mit seiner leicht trüben, dunkelgelben Farbe. Es dominieren bittere Hopfennoten, die es zwar ordentlich bitter machen, aber doch nicht untrinkbar brutal. Dazu kommen ein paar Hanfnoten und einfaches Gras. Vielleicht nicht das beste Bier, das ich kenne, aber eine äußerst würzige Abwechslung.

Tap at Damian. Moderate body, moderate carbonation. Slightly caramelly, but overall rather hops centered. Lots of dank cheesy character, exotic, garlic. Good one.

Degustation at Damian. Amber golden color with white head. Aroma of caramel, citrus hops. Taste, caramel, citrus, zest, pines.

Lahev(Dííík! ): Cloudy to milky, nevertheless some floaties visible, golden with an orangey sheen, rather quickly diminishing loose white head, moderate to solid fruity-hoppy nose with estery and yeasty traces, thin malty background; quite solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, a bit tart; lingering bitter-sweet citrussy and a bit estery finish with returning traces of yeast. Bottle from Damián bottle shop Pours hazy goldish. Nice citruses on a nose. Tastes bittersweet, juicy, grapefruit. Good. Tasty.

0.5l bottle from Damián. Hazy golden color with high stable white head. Aroma: juicy mango, papaya, pine, touch of caramel. Taste: rich in juicy taste of mango, papaya, resin, point down for bit of a foul taste of malty base. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, moderate bitterness. Juicy and fruity profile of hops od excellent, beer is quite drinkable.

Bottle. Hoppy aroma, juicy citrus fruit, light grassy notes. Tastes the same as aroma, light sweet, medium bitter. Medium body, juicy hoppy bitter finish. Ok.

Bottle 0.5l. Cloudy, deep gold colored. AROMA- strongly floral and grassy. FLAVOR- dry, moderately bitter, strongly grassy, lightly fruity. Medium bodied.
Unbalanced, somewhat harsh, too grassy.
