Bottle. Brown colour, cloudy, fantastic frothy head that stays long. Aroma is intensive banana, lemon, dough. Alcohol well hidden. Fantastic.

0.5 l bottle from ’mein-biershop.de’, best before October 2016. Murky brown with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish, yeasty-spicy and a bit fruity aroma of prunes, raisins, caramel, some clove, overripe banana and toasted nuts. Quite sweet, yeasty-spicy and a bit fruity taste of caramel, clove, prunes, raisins, chocolate, toasted nuts and overripe banana, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, quite yeasty-spicy and a little warming-alcoholic finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very decent Weizenbock, well-balanced, maybe a bit too thin, but overall pleasant to drink.

0,5 l bottle. Murky cloudy pale brown in the glass, big very foamy light tanned head. A lot of banana and yeast on the nose. Taste starts fruity, banana and some citrus, also malt in the second row. Some clove and yeast, little bit alcoholic sharpness. Earthy, hints of barrel wood. Dry malty alcoholic bitterness in the aftertaste. Heavy stuff.

Schöner fruchtig-hefiger Geruch. Der Antrunk ist vollmundig. Zum Hauptteil hin wird das Bier süßlich nach roten Früchten. Dabei leichte Malznoten mit milder Hefe. Der Nachgeschmack ist mittellang, schön hefig und angenehm malzig. Leider keine Röstmalzaromen vorhanden. Lecker. 10/12/11/10

Irgendwo hab ich mal gelesen, daß auch Weizenböcke ähnlich wie belgische Starkbiere bei langer Lagerung dank Nachgärung in der Flasche eine erstaunliche Geschmacksentwicklung durchmachen können. Allerdings klappt das nicht bei allen Marken. Mein erster Versuch, ein Meinel Weizenbock, war ein Fehlschlag: das überlagerte Bier war brausig rezent und dünn-säuerlich, eindeutig umgekippt. Nun also ein zweiter Versuch mit einer Flasche Jacob Weißbier-Bock mit MHD 11/13. - Mittelbraun, trüb, beigefarbener Schaum. - Eher schwache Nase: milde Banane, zart fruchtige Birne. - Im Antrunk flambierte Banane aber ohne penetrante Süße, dazu Birne, Nelken. Die weizenbiertypische Süße ist angenehm austariert durch eine ganz zarte, pikant säuerliche Fruchtigkeit wie von Birnenschale. Mild rezent, weich im Mund. Im Abgang schwache, ganz leicht holzige Bittere und immer noch etwas Banane. - Dieser Weizenbock hat sich erstaunlich gut gehalten, ist spritzig und von einer milden fruchtig-herben Note, die einen angenehmen Kontrast zu der typischen Weizenbierfülle bildet. Hier hat die Lagerung sich eindeutig gelohnt.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes braunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch intensiv hefig fruchtig, Geschmack sehr hefig, fruchtig, bananig, leicht würzig, leicht alkoholisch.

As "Weissbier-Bock - 7.3% - Murky brown colour. Smooth, creamy taste with a fresh, clean, wheaty flavour with a touch of caramel sweetness.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Brown cloudy colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy and moderate yeasty aroma. Moderate bitter nice yeasty flavor. Week caramellic. Average light bitter finish. Creamy palate.
