Bottle. Golden blonde. Very soft herbal citric aroma and flavor. Soft Malty grassy notes. Hint of blackcurrant. Floral finish.

on tap @ Charlottenburg, as opal pilsener. also bottle from marktkauf/edeka. pours a clear amber with a dense white head. aroma of honey, grass, floral hops, tangerine. flavour of grass, with some woody and tangerine notes. dry hopped and pleasantly aromatic, not bad!

Bottle 500ml. @ home on the terrace. [ As Duckstein Opal - Pilsener Grand Cru Edition No 06 ].[ Trade by Beerhunter111 ]. Clear medium yellow orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate hoppy, flowers, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, flowers, pale malt, fruity, plum notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Flasche ( „Duckstein Opal Pilsener", 50 cl, MHD: 02/17) aus einem Tegut-Markt in Marburg. - Goldbraun, klar. - In der Nase schwach würzige Karamelnoten und zarte Andeutung von „exotischen“ Aromahopfensorten. - Antrunk karamelmalzig und würzig herb mit feiner orangenfruchtiger Hopfenherbe im Hintergrund. Auch im Abgang nur recht milde Hopfenherbe. - Typisches Große-Klappe-Bier: verspricht viel und hält wenig. Die auf dem Etikett genannten Hopfensorten (Opal, Hüll Melon u.a.) lassen sich nur schwach erahnen. Und was hat Caramalz in einem Pilsener zu suchen?

Bottle( thanks to Metro Berghof!):Deep golden, smaller stable off-White head with a good lace; malty and also a bit toasty nose, mild influences of strawy to herbal hops in the Background; nearly moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied and soft; some very faint citric hops in the slightly lingering mild bitter-malty finish. Nothing wrong with it, just pretty light-weighted...

Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, grains, some malt and grainy bitterness. Average to decent body and carbonation.
