Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Sweetish malt aroma with some straw and a hint of caramel. Moderate sweet, light bitter. Finishes pretty smooth, well-rounded Festbier.

10/6/2022. Bottle courtesy of Boris, cheers! Pours slightly hazy pale gold with a frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, grass, herb, malt, lemongrass, biscuit. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, watery oily, average carbonation. Fair.

0,5 l bottle. Clear pale copper with a white and more than one finger short living head. Grassy grainy on the nose. Taste is more on the malty and caramel side. Pale grain. Smooth, spicy and also some sweetness. Low carbonated. Low bitterness. Easy drinking stuff. And yes, it´s feinwürzig.

Schäffler Bräu Winterzauber, Flasche von Getränkefeinkost, MD-Stadtfeld. - Tiefdunkles Goldgelb, blank - ein wenig überraschend, weil ich nach dem schwarz-blauen Etikett wie selbstverständlich ein dunkles Bier erwartet hatte. - In der Nase Märzen-typisch sattes, bonbonsüßes helles Malz mit feinen Noten von Honig, Karamel und Getreide, feine hintergründige herbale Hopfung. - Antrunk tief hellmalzig mit feiner, blasser Zitrusfrucht, ein wenig Honig, etwas Fruchtgummi. Deutliche Restsüße. Gut rezent, glatt, für ein Märzen zu leicht. Im Abgang milde herbale Hopfung. - Angenehmes leichtes Märzen, das mit den Begriffen erfrischend, feinwürzig treffend beschrieben ist, aber kein Bier speziell für den Winter - da erwarte ich etwas mehr Wums. Bottle. Golden color. Soft floral grassy aroma. Floral grassy hopbitter flavor. Hint of licorice. Longish aftertaste Soft malty notes. I’ve had worse.

500ml bottle. Clear, orangey golden to amber colour with average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Caramel malty aroma. Taste is minimally sweet cara malty, slightly metallic, dry and grassy hoppy overtones; a touch of yellow stone fruit in the finish. Sniff-snotted, loveless ("lieblos dahingerotzt" is what I wanted to say).
