Cask at The Rake, Borough Market. Black pour with a tan head. Nice aromas of coffee, dark chocolate, smoke, raisin. Taste is much the same with a touch of liquorice toffee coming up the rear (ooer!). Malts sweet finish. Very palatable stout.

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2021 - Hackney. Pours clear black-brown with a small, frothy tan head. Lightly sweet with sturdy ashy roast, nips of burnt rubber, dry cocoa, earth. Light bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. Bitter, lightly drying finish, more ashy roast, baking cocoa, scorched earth, coffee grinds. Sound.
