On tap pours out dark brown almost black topped with a tan head. Nose is light roast malts some touch of dark chocolate. Taste is more of the nice roast malts some ash and chocolate.

Can. Comes out cascading like Guinness, very dark, a large tan head. A light cola and toast nose. Sweet, roast, more cola, very similar to Guinness with less mineral bite, vanilla, coffee finish.

Nitro can from Beers of Europe. Pours black with a thick beige head. Aromas of light roast, dusty cocoa powder. Taste is dark fruit and cocoa again. Thin finish.

Keg at Trackside, Bury. Pours deep black with a tan head. Aroma: roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, molasses, bit of liquorice. Taste: moderate sweet & bitter, towards dry, roasted malts, coffee, light toffee. Light to medium body with fine carbonation. Good one.

16oz can from HomeBrewStuff. Nitro pour, near black, thick creamy beige head. Aroma is roasty malts, chocolate, coffee. Taste features light roasty bitterness, mild sweet notes, chocolate. Dryness as per the style. Nitro delivers a silky, creamy feel.

Tap. Almost black, coffee foam. Aroma: burnt, bitter chocolate and coffee, tobacco, caramel. Burnt barley taste, caramel, coffee, slightly sour, normal brew.

Bottle, medium thick bubbly brown head, opaque black colour, lots of roastiness in aroma with some smokiness and a bit of chocolate cake behind, flavor of dark bitter chocolate with some ashtray and just a bit of smoke, quite dry with just a hint of sweetness. Excellent and satisfiyng.
