Bottle shared at BBT 1/2022. Med-thin body, rather low carbonation. Assertive peated character, both in aroma and flavour. Med-high bitterness, combination peaty and hoppy. Low sweetness, despite moderate cocoa chocolatey maltiness present. Overall quite good, not very enjoyable to me though.

Bottle from European Local Swap, many thanks. BBT 01/2022. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma of dark malt, peanuts, peat, dark malt, chocolate. Taste, chocolate, peat, peanuts, coffee, caramel, plums, ash.

Black color with medium beige head. Aroma: chocolate, dried dark fruits, peat, iodine. Taste: chocolate, dried dark fruits, peat, iodine. Full body, moderate carbonation, moderate bitterness. Rich, complex, bringing the best of Caol Ila.
