A traditional English Pale Ale with a well rounded bittering and a refreshing citrus finish. A great combination for sensibly enjoying at any time.

Cask at Robin Hood, Willenhall. Pours a golden yellow with an ample foamy white head and good lacing. There are malts and grains in the nose, but not to any great extent. In the mouth it has summer fruits to the fore, along with floral hops and a hint of citrus. All overlaid on a biscuity base. The finish is slightly bitter. Nice and refreshing.

Handpull cask at the Queens Road Tap, Leicester. Light grainy aroma with apple skin overtones. Sweet taste with a sour bitter edge at the finish. Long finish with physalis and white grape. Oily body. Pretty basic stuff but it works.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at the Gryphon, Bristol 10/3/2017. Deep gold in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Apricot and a touch of tart lemon, some hay, weetabix malts, before a moderately bitter finish. Ok.
