Dark amber and bright. Medium head. Some toasty malt, caramel, cask juiciness, moderate bitterness.

Cask pour at Main Street Brewing. Pours clear deep gold with a white head. Stale malts and sgtraw on the nose. Flavour has straw, stale bread, some crusts. Not great.

Okay foam on a nicely clear deep brownish copper body. Smells of vague watery cracker and brown sugar. Taste is wet malt, brown sugar and finishes sooo watery. A friend of mine just got back from the UK and I said now you can be horrified at all the attempts at English ales over here! Case in point, this one.
