Bottle form a REWE in Bamberg. Clear gold in colour, wit a slight, white, head and moderate carbonation. Sweet and corny malts, a hint of hedgerow fruit and lacklustre finish. Not for me.

Dorada amarillenta ligeramente turbia. Muy poca espuma. Fina burbuja continua desde el fondo del vaso. Aroma malteado. Poco cuerpo con sabor algo aguado, marcado por la malta. Prescindible.

A clear yellow beer with medium head. Nose is on grain and cereal. Aroma is again malty, quite sweet and grassy hops.

500ml Bottle: BBD Feb 2015, poured into an old Schlossbrau stemmed tulip three times at home on 22 Aug 2014. Good clean look to the golden body, on top a full white crown. Very little nose, maybe a little metallic and corn. The beer is crisp and sharp in nature but with not a lot of taste, again metallic and corn feel to the flavour. I let my wife have some and she also mentioned a metallic twang to the beer. Not the best advert for Germany and it’s wonderful beers.

This is a great looking beer. Big fluffy head and nice deep golden color. That’s as good as it gets. Aroma is non-existant, and flavor is weak, mouthfeel watery. taste is like a piece of white bread...bland. Thought this was going to be good based on its looks. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover...

Bottled (From K Citymarket Lielahti, (TamperE). Golden colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is floral, grassy, herbal, bready and a bit sweet malts as well. Flavour is bready, a bit grainy, some grassy, hayish and quite bitter. Mild salty and toasted notes as well. Good and refreshing beer.

Clear golden color, small white head. Strong metal in the sweetish malty nose, also wet doggie. Light bodied. Malty, sweetish, light grassy hoppyness, strong metal. Watery finish. Kaiserdom is still light year behind other Bamberg brewers.

50cl bottle from C-Market, Vantaa. Poured clear golden with a white head. Aroma has strong grainy notes, as well as some sweetness. Flavor is similar, grain, sweet malt, slightly dry and some harshness/vegetable notes in finish that I found disturbing.

50cl bottle under the alias of Kaiserdom Urtyp Hell. Pours golden with gentle bubbles which continue for as long as it takes to drink it. There’s very little head. The nose has pale malt and some grassy aromas. The taste has a big lemon note with a cleaning lemongrass note on the end. Palate is light bodied with a slightly bigger middle section, in other words a good texture and a bone dry clean finish, Overall, just what you want in a helles
