Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear, golden beer topped by a small, white head. Pale malts and fruityness on the nose, hints of rubber and fertilizer. The fertilizer and rubber is more evident in the flavor, sort of like an unpleasant smokyness. Pale malts and fruityness too. Medium body. Not very pleasant, especially the finish is bad. Still, I guess after a bottle of two you wouldn’t notice. 110319

(bottle, labelled as Bürgerbräu Bamberg Urtyp Hell with 4.7 % ABV) Clear, pale golden colour with a non-persistent foamy white head. Sweet malty, slightly grainy aroma with honey and slightly metallic hops. Moderately sweet flavour, grainy taste with herbal hoppy accents, dry, slightly bitter and short finish with herbal hops and a tinge of metal. More an mediocre Export than a Helles.
