Deep amber good head fruty and malty note medium body malty hint of caramell light roastyness low medium bitterness

Had this at Hopfingerbrau, Mitte, Berlin, Germany Sunday 17th November 2013 Murky dark brown a little creamy vanilla initially quite a contrast to my Pils. Not much on the nose, a little sweet, I’m not getting a great deal but then wonder if my Pils has rather overidden this. A5 A3 T6 P3 Ov11 2.8

Tap @ Brewpub. Lindenbrau, Mitte - Berlin. Pours ruby amber with a white head. Nuts, tart dark fruit, caramel and butterscotch. Smooth and medium bodied.

On tap at a local fair. Mahogany red to light brown, clear. Cappuccino head. Roasted malts, dark bread, caramel, some fruity notes and something like cooked mushrooms. Taste is slightly sweet with a decent bitterness in the finish. Solid dunkel.

International Green Week, Berlin 2012: Hall 12, the hall dedicated to German breweries and food to go with beer. We find a table and seats by the Andechs bar, leave the womenfolk to keep the area safe and we blokes start to forage for beers. Loads of breweries and beers to choose from I choose to try the Pilsner from this brewery, I enjoyed it, so went back and got the Dunkel, also on tap. 0.3 litre glass: Murky brown/copper body, good off-white foaming head that stayed the distance. Malty nose and taste: caramel and nutty toffee type taste, but not overly sweet, smooth but not sickly or rich in the mouth. I tried to have a different style of beer (Landbier/Dunkel/Bock/etc) between each Pilsner during the mega drinking day this was reviewed on; using the Pilsners as mouthwash really: still reviewed them though! Pleasant and easy to drink without setting the world alight.

At Lindenbräu, Sony Center, Berlin. Cloudy copper with a lasting off-white head. Bready malt aroma with lots of toffee and caramel. Sweetish, rich malty flavour with a touch of raw wort and a bit of diacetyl

bottle from biershop-bayern.de. Clear brown colour, large and creamy off-white head. Malty aroma. Malty, hints of caramel, lots of blackcurrant and other berries in the flavour. Very nice.

Draft. Dark brown with small tan head. Flavour is roasted malt, dry, caramel and some hops.

On tap in one bar near Chiemsee. Dark brown color with thick white head. Sweet, malty aroma. Taste, starts sweet, continues with caramel and hints of chocolate. Drinkable.

Tap at the Hauptbahnhof brewpub. Dark brown with a full off yellow head. Gentle sweet aroma of malt and caramel. Lively carbonation and a nice sweet aftertaste
