Draft. A hazy red-brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, straw, and dusty hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, dusty hops, and a bit of straw, leading to a lightly bitter finish where the caramel note lingers.

06/03 Draught at Lindenbrau am Potsdammerplatz, Berlin. It poured clear darker brown body with smaller brownish head. Aroma is very weak, some slight caramel and maybe burned sugar. Caramel, coffee and biscuity, beer is not sweet at all rather balanced with that roasted malt, reminding to altbiers. Slightly watery, but still has decent body. Long, but weak bittersweet finish. Didn’t like it particularly, but it has its own character.

Tap at Lindenbräu, Berlin, like most people here it would seem. Brown, slightly reddish colour. Sweet coffeish caramelly malty nose, nice enough. Sweet coffeeish taste, light caramel, light acidity, odd but tastier than some. Bit sweaty too. You can find many worse dunkels I guess.

300ml vom Fass at the Lindenbräu pub, Sony Center, Potsdamer Platz. Mahogany body with a ruby tint. Small off-white head. Dried, dark fruits to the nose. Taste of caramel malts, slightly roasted, mixed with raisin. A modest touch of tart, dark fruits concludes the beer. Clean palate and good drinking. Some reminisce of a decent Norwegian Juleøl (Berlin, 21.11.2009).

(bottle) Clear, dark chestnut-brown colour with a medium-sized off-white foamy head. Not very intense aroma: slightly sweet and toasty malty nose with a sourish fruity note and a tinge of caramel. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium body, quite soft on carbon. Toast-malty taste with light notes of caramel and light fruity accents (raisins); moderately dry, bitter-sweet, toasty and shy hoppy finish. Rather mediocre brew (28.11.07).

Aroma of toasted, slightly roasted malt with some light coffee hints. Sweet malty flavor with some toast and nut notes and some caramel. Medium-bodied. OK

From tap at Lindenbräu. Pours almost clear golden brown with a lacing off-white head. Fruity, roasted malt, light liqourice and caramel aroma. Quite dark fruity flavour with a distinct hardroasted malt beneath. Light liqourice note into the finish.
