(Draught at the brewpub)On June 5, 2008Slight shady dark red to brown color, white head. Sweet, butter, a bit roasted malt and sugary scent. Sugary, malty, a slight hint of acidic feeling, a bit roasted taste. Cocoa aftertaste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Bottle: Clear, amber coloured, medium-sized, slowly collapsing off-white head, clean, sweetish-caramelly nose with the usual traces of roasted malt; moderate sweet-bitter flavour with a light sourness, light to medium bodied; caramelly-fruity finish with a tinge of cacao. O.K., a bit empty MF in the aftertaste, but all in all a pleasant Dunkel.......

Medium offwhite shiny creamy lasting head. Somewhat hazy dark red body. Light, clean, sweetish, malty aroma. Taste is clean, sweet malts with strong caramel and licorice taste. There is also a faint smoky background. Watery aftertaste. Clean, milky, slightly watery mouthfeel. Quite good! (0.3l on tap at Berlin Hauptbahnhof.)
