New 3 Fonteinen lambic combining rhubarb with sour cherries; at Lambik-o-Droom, shared with 77ships, Geert De Ben and Craftmember. Medium thick, snow white, gradually opening head on a cloudy vermillion red robe with burgundy hue. Aroma of green tree leaves, raw rhubarb, wood sorrel, cherry wood but less actual sour cherry (though obviously noticeable), red apple peel, leather, furniture wax, dandelions. Tart onset, oxalic acid from the rhubarb supplemented with sour cherry juiciness but the rhubarb is clearly stronger than the cherries, which come across as a tad 'meagre' and more redcurrant-ish than truly cherry-like; the oxalic acid especially joins a lactic acidity in a moderately carbonated, drying, supple body, with a bready core and red-fruity superstructure. Woody, tart finish with some lingering cherry fleshiness but, again, more oxalic acid from the rhubarb, paired with herbal and funky elements of barnyard, green tree leaves in spring and wood weeds. The fruitiness clearly comes more from the rhubarb here than from the cherries, which lack a bit in that voluptuous fleshiness I expect from them; in that sense a bit reminiscent of Boerenerf's Zomerkriek, at least conceptually. More for the rhubarb lambic lovers than the 'oude kriek' lovers, perhaps, but nevertheless a very tasty lambic.

750mL bottle, pours a deep cherry red with a small white head. Aroma is full of deep tart cherries, earthy rhubarb, and gentle barnyard funk. Flavour reveals a nice harmonious blend of the cherries and rhubarb, with tart cherry pie, a nice earthy rhubarb, and signature 3F funk. Really like this blend of cherries and rhubarb; I think the rhubarb reigns in the acidity very well without covering over the funk. Excellent.

75cl bottle from the brewery shop (bought 02/07/2022), Season 20/21 Assemblage #95, bottled on 16/11/21. F: medium, pink-white, not long lasting. C: red with coppery hue, light hazy. A: rich sour cherries, bit raspberries, rhubarb touch, woody, funky, nice sour juicy fruity. T: medium malty base, sour cherries, cherry skin, light tannins, nice juicy fruitiness, rhubarb, bit herbal, woody, old lemon touch, nice balanced bitterness, bit puckering, soft carbonation, very nice balanced for the style, not so sour, fully enjoyed.

750mL bottled 11/16/21, drunk 10/7/22. Clear, meaty-cherry-red. Second pour creates a huge, pink head, with decent retention. Nose is full of heavy funk and mineral with black pepper and cherry pit. Very soft, well-aged with light oak nuances and a touch of vegetal rhubarb. No flaw/alcohol or any touch of unwanted sourness. Just lovely brett and lacto. In the mouth, it's just a study in beautiful, well-expressed, delicious cherry. Good lord are those some insane cherries. Soft and spicy with meat, juice, pulp, skin, tannin. Really just about as good as it gets here. One of the best cherry expressions I can remember. Beer is soft, medium-bodied, well-attenuated and chalk full of god damned delicious brett and cherry. Damn this is fine.

Bottle shared. Bit hazy deep ruby. Massive tart cherry, wheat, dry funk, almonds, herbal, soft rhubarb but mostly cherries. Quite sour, quite light sweet and bitter. Nice.
