A thirst-quenching beer that combines our finest Flagon ale malt with a small amount of crystal malt to give a subtle malt character.

Inspired and developed with the hop growers and merchants Charles Faram, the Celeia, Bobek and Dana hops provide a refreshing hop that is both thirst-quenching and characterful.

The hops are added both in the brewhouse and dry hopped in the fermentation vessel to ensure this classic beer retains its character to the last drop.

Creamy off white head on a copper coloured body. Malt, berries & sweet stone fruit tastes with a tangy finish. Easy going.

Half-pint, cask ale, outside at Goffs Manor. Bright amber body, scattered lacing from a dissipating pearl white head. Smell of mid-sweet malts and some green hops. Quite well balanced taste of mild caramel malts, earth, and leafy hops. Has got a short, bittersweet tail. Drinks well. Pretty good English bitter. (Crawley 13.07.2022).

The Ship Inn, Weymouth - Pours an almost clear golden amber colour with a small lasting white head. Aroma is grainy malt, some floral and spicy hop notes. A biscuit malt taste, sour cherry flavours, a light bitterness with a dryish finish.

Cask at Fox and Hounds, West End (nr Woking not that London). Floral and malt aroma. Dark amber gold. Thin white head. Light bitter. Berries and biscuits. Slightly sour. Thin. Slick but watery. Flat carbonation. Dry finish. Best? Nah. Drinkable but other than sour berries It's just bland.

Pint on tap at The White Hart, Henfield. Golden amber beer with thin white head. Zero carbonation, patchy lacing. Light nose of sweet malt. Easy-drinking sweet malty bitter. Slight sourness in the finish balances it out. Average in all respects.
