12 oz can from Wegmans, 4/28/25. Not exactly the right season for this guy, but it was hiding in the beer fridge. Mostly clean rusty, darker orange color with a beige head. Drippy, streaky lacework on the glass. Grains, spice, floral, candied sugar. Kind of an odd mix, not bad, not great. Reasonably drinkable as well, but the finish is a little off. I don't know how to score this oddball, I'm not a huge fan, but I don't mind some of it. I settled here.

Just trying to get back into drinking, even though I feel like that part of my life has passed. Having such a perfect saison is a good way back in.

Can at home. Cherry colored brew with smaller head. Nose is berry, peppery spice and Belgian yeast. Tastes of rose hips, coriander, candy, cherry, yeast for days. Old school saison flavor and sweet yeast. Slick

Pour is a hazy amber with almost no head at all. Aroma is cloves with some rose hips and brown sugar. Flavor is rose petals with a nice yeast ester and some candi sugar. I did not get any chamomile but this had plenty of other flavors to go around. This was a nice but off beat flavored saison. It only got better as it warmed up.

Tap bowsers. Pale yellow with a tad of orange. Light saison nose. Initially a mild candy taste that gets into a little bit of bandaid in the middle. However, the bandaid is barely perceovable and nothing like many poorly made domestic saisons; Not bad overall, actually quite enjoyable in the end.

Sauerkraut aroma, cabbage is prominent, apple cider vinegar, clove. Clear amber, thick yellow head, little retention. Apple, currant, prune. Medium body, harsh. I did not like this very much, but trying to be objective, it really doesn’t taste as bad as it smells. Weird and unpleasant.

Grey Lodge Pub, Philadelphia tap: pours orange with a small white head. Light yeast and spice. Taste is light bitterness. Some medium levels of maltiness. Nit bad but hardly anything special.

12 ounce bottle. Amber orange with a small beige head. Interesting sappy malt aroma with meaty notes. Tart bready malt flavor. Earthy cheese and citrus notes. Quite perplexing. Sour cherry finish.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright orange-copper color with a medium sized foamy tan head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was malty and toasty with rosewater, chamomile and an odd herbal note. The flavor was bitter, tart and tangy with rose water, vague herbs and a floral presence. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.
