Donkerbruin tot zwart bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is krachtig wam, ietwat bitter met een heel klein zuurtje en iets van bourbon en karamel.

Bottle, 330 ml, shared with Miro B and Max. Brown with tan head. Malty, caramel, some fruity notes, some bourbon, some apples, moderate sweetness. Medium bodied.

Bourbon and some florals. Prune, a little hint of vanilla. Black pour without much head. Fig. Finish is pretty soft for the booze content. Some whiskey, bourbon. Light hint of pear. Very subtle. Tap at Churchkey.

0.33l bottle thanks to Lore. Dark brown body with a light brown head. Whiskey notes, nutmeg, orange zest, chocolate, dark sugar and some vanilla both in the aroma and the taste. Thick bodied beer without an overwhelming boozy character. Amazing.

0.33 l bottle from 'Drankgigant.nl', 2019 vintage, bottled in January 2022. Black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity, slightly yeasty aroma of molasses, raisins, prunes, vanilla, calvados and caramel. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly fruity, moderately vinous and a bit yeasty taste of molasses, chocolate, caramel, raisins, prunes, lovage, calvados, vanilla and light oak, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a little vinous finish. Medium to full body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Lovely beer, not overly intense but very well-balanced with many subtle flavours. Calvados BA always works for me.

Bottle from Hoptimism. Bottle says 2019 vintage. Bottled on 01/02/2022. Jet black colour with a thin tan. Aroma and taste have hints of sweet to tangy apple. Not much bourbon for me. Burnt brown sugars but not too sweet. Rich body.
