Can, pint (Alko, BB 08/2011)
Dark reddish brown color, good beige head, lace. Aroma is caramelly and slightly chocolaty but same time dusty, grassy and metallic. Light to medium bodied. Caramelly, toasted rye bread, then some grassy hoppyness and malts in the dry finish. Hints of metal. Watery aftertaste. 4.0% version was suprisingly good and I don’t understand how this feels so much cheaper and less interesting.

Canned (From Alko, Vaasa). Deep ruby colour with a mediumsized foamy beigeish/yellowish brown colour. Aroma is is grains, sweet caramel, quite dull dusty notes as well as some mild metallicness. Flavour is sweet caramel, mild metallic notes, some slight dustyness as well. Interesting that the oldest 4.3 % export dark is so much better than these more common tumma 4.0 and 5.0 %. 4 and 5 % tumma’s are probably made for the "who cares about palate or taste" customers. This 5 % one gets very harsh and full of erraneous flavours when it warms up.
