Continuing our experiments with non-traditional cider apples, we took a load of very ripe Bramley apples, pressed them together with some locally grown perry pears, a few kilos of medlars, and some Dabinett grown right next to us on the farm.

On tap at the Cider House. Cloudy golden with small white head. Dry, flat, loads of apples, lacking bit more in finish. Still tasty.

750ml bottle from Little Pomona. Slightly hazy yellow gold colour, short-lived fizzy white bubbly head and aroma of fruity apple,, juicy, floral, citric. Taste is sharp, tangy and tart, apple, fleshy, fruity, pineapple hint, with floral notes, some citrus acidity and tannin. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry finish. Nicely drinkable.
