A Bitter, or an English pale ale if you will, with a crisp hoppy bite, a vivid amber color and a rich finish. A bitter bite. Refreshing!

This beers story is a two parter. Part one: Here at Dugges we have a long history of brewing bitters. It’s one of our founders favorite beer styles and there was a long time when we hade at least one, often more, bitter in our range at the same time. Then, for whatever reason, we just stopped brewing them. Part two: One of the ways to get to sell your beer at the Swedish liquor monopoly Systembolaget, is to win tenders. A while ago they had one out for a bitter. Needless to say, we brewed a bitter, entered the competition for the tender and won! Bite on that!

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Clear amber, lively head. Leafy, piney nose. Mid dry with light body and clean, rounded mouthfeel, Bready malt and leafy hops. Mid bitter finish.

Can (from Systembolaget Rådhusesplanaden, Umeå). Amber colour, mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, mild herbal and some mild bready tones. Flavour is floral, fruity, herbal, some mild biscuity and mild bready tones to it.

Amber, slightly hazy, full head. Nutty aroma. Malty taste, hazelnut, earth and some lingering bitterness.

Can 33 cl. Pours a hazy amber with a lacing, off-white head. Unclean nutty, varamel nose. Light-bodied, nutty and caramelly but dry and cleaner. Light bitterness. 290123

Can from Systembolaget. This beer was at first quite a dissapointment. It eventually went down ok, and had some interesting crunchy elements but it felt a bit too carbonated and mmm, not sure but something missing!
