Draft. A black beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of coffee, roasted malt, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, liquorice, and coffee, leading to a dry finish.

On tap at Mikkeller, Århus. A dark brown beer with a small tan head. Some curtains. The aroma has roasted malts, dark chocolate and some notes of coffee. Rye bread, toffee and cellar hints. Sort of diacety-ish. It's smooth and full to medium bodied, silky and not too sweet, with a gentle bitterness. Caramel and toffee. Some piney hops, licorice and prunes. Lasting finish. Starting off decently, but it turns out to be a very nice one. 231109

Can, 6.1%. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and a little smoke. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, medium sweet, little smoke and a little bitter.

500ml can, from Mikkeller Beer Club. Poured dark brown in color with an off white head. Nicely roasted malty aroma. Chocolate, tobacco/ash and light smoke in flavor. Tasty.
