BBC II ”Syysmyrsky” DIPA (8,0%), joka on Bryggerin Homebrew Challengen voittajan, jyväskyläläisen Ilkka Heleniuksen ja Bryggeri Helsingin Mathias Hüffnerin yhdessä panema olut. Olut on keitetty 13.9.2014 ja kyseessä on tyylipuhdas DIPA. Sen aromissa voi havaita runsaasti greippiä ja havunneulasia. Maku on hedelmäisen runsas, pehmeän maltainen ja jälkimaultaan kuiva ja kestävä.

Draught@Bryggeri Helsinki. Deep amber colour with a mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some mild alcohol with a bit rubbery and gluelike elements. Flavour is nicely bitter floral and fruity tones with some slight earthy, herbal and mild sweet malty tones. Clean flavour but aroma has some stuff going on. Or too fresh, so alcohol makes some flaws?

(Keg at Bryggeri Helsinki, 20141029) The beer poured mahogany coloured and quite clear. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had malts and piny hops. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, malts, caramel, sweetness, pine and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, hoppy and bitter. A very malty brew in which the hops remained too much in the background. Also too harsh (too young?).

Aroma has fruity hops, some gooseberry bush and grapefruit. Flavour is rather gluey with caramel, alcohol, some gooseberry bush, strawberries and some woody tones. Also minerals. Too gluey and too much alcohol here.

Pours dark orange with a foamy head. Aroma of hay, grass, citrus, pine, earthy notes and stuffy yeastiness. Taste is sweet, sticky and crisp with some notes of glue, grass, citrus and pine. Finish is bitter, sweetish and stuffy with some grass, pine and syrup. A bit unbalanced and stuffy.

Tap @ olutexpo 14. Deep amber, thick white head. Slightly sour, sewer, awful aroma. Flavor has resin, grapefruit, sweet malty, hoppy. Too bad about the aroma, the flavor is great.

Tap at Olutexpo 2014, Helsinki. Colour is clear orange with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Fruits, grape, pine, hops and malts. Aroma is horrible with drainage and farmhouse elements. Flavour is better.
