Bringing together cultured Belgian Abbey yeast and fresh Lemon Drop hops, this beer celebrates the biological genius of Trappist yeasts and modern human ingenuity. Nimbus brings an aroma of full citrus hops and bananas from the yeast. The flavour follows suit with lashings of light grapefruit, warm toffee, and more yeast derived banana esters. Both of these flavours grow with a long finish that's both sweet and bitter. A beer of two parts that capers about the palate…

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up via Beer Hawk. Pours mostly clear, deep orange-gold with a frothy, off-white head. Some sun-baked pale malts in the nose, wheat, dry hay, orange peel. Light sweet flavour with some husky grains, bitter pine needles, orange peel, grass, dried pale malts, flowers. Light bodied with active, massaging carbonation. Pretty clean in the finish, with some lemon peel, hints of yeast, more dried wheat bread, melon, grass, crispy hay, more pale grains. Overall, a nicely drinkable, dry and crisp Belgian ale.
