Bottle.Bought at Getranke Land Hvidovre,Dark brownish colour with small off white head.Aroma is roste and malty with taste like Danish Øllebrød and warning alc,a bit spicey with smooth livly mouthfeels.

Vollmundiger Malzantrunk mit leichter Herbe, die die vollkommende Ausbreitung im Mundraum verhindert. Sehr würzig, wenig schokoladig, etwas torfig mit leichten Pflaumennoten im Hintergrund. Zum Ende trockener werdend, die Malzigkeit dünnt etwas aus. Noch schokoladig mild, die Intensität insgesamt ist angenehm. Stimmiger, gut gelungener Doppelbock mit ausreichend Süffigkeit. 10/13/11/12/12/12

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thick tan head. The aroma has strong notes of caramel as well as medium notes of malt, bread, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet and very malty with strong notes of caramel and bread as well as light notes of alcohol and metal, leading to a dry alcoholic and caramel finish.

Beautiful dark mahogany color; medium head. The aroma is light, with some caramel and vegetables. Unsurprisingly the flavor takes some time to come to the surface, surely not when the beer is still cold; it has a solid body, with strong caramel flavor, low sweetness but a fair bitterness, a light touch of vegetables that is out of place, and a too high warming touch. Mediocre.

Bottled. Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is caramel, some hops, mild sweet sugary notes. Flavour is sugery, sweet bready malts, some alcohol and quite balanced doppelbock. Still rather sweet.

The bottle looks a bit funny, the beer in the glass is okay. Surprisingly very hoppy aroma. Starts strong malty, too much like liquorice, very sweet, oily finish. A bit unbalanced. There are better doppelbocks out there!

Bottle 50cl.Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, sugar, alcohol notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20081128]
