As Simcoe rolled its piney wave across the land, it became obvious to home brewers and commercial brewers alike, that this spicy little cone should become a staple.
And so it did.
All hail Simcoe!

Can from the LCBO. Lightly hazed medium amber with a large rocky off-white head that leaves tight lace. Nose is bright tropical fruit and citrus with pine, grass, light lavender and bread. Light malty sweetness with a big bitter middle of grass, grapefruit and lemon peel. Mouth is medium with average carbonation and a lingering bitter finish. Tasty, but not Karma Citra. 8-/4/7/4/15

Fairly clean, bright golden colour with a big off-white, frothy head, good retention and leaving dirty-foamy lacing. The nose show yeast first, with some citrus notes (mild zest), vanilla hints and straw malts. The taste shows decent bitterness over the caramel malts. The mouthfeel is smooth with a dry finish that lingers. A West Coast style IPA with decent drinkability.

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy orange-gold with a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves thick curtains of lace. Sweet fruity aroma of bready wheat malt, grapefruit, mango, mandarin orange and piney hops. Sweet fruity flavour of caramel malt, grapefruit, mango, pineapple, apricot, mandarin orange and piney hops in a dry, bitter finish. Medium body with a sticky, oily texture and average carbonation. Tasty and enjoyable.
