Clear amber-copper, thin, tan head. Aroma of chestnut, hard caramel, tea leaves, pistachio, fig, dried apple peel, pear, wood, brandy. Taste has very sweet apple, pear & fig in a caramelly, syrupy, slightly nutty malt body, somewhat toasty & herbal. Herbal hoppy finish, dry of wood and nuts, yet still sugary and sweet (candied fruits), with brandy-like alcohol warming the throat. Full body, syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Hefty, heavy, but ends nicely dry. Well-made stuff.

Pours clear, medium dark amber. No real head. Mild aoma. Malty, dried fruits are fairly hidden. Taste is full, sweet, intensely creamy, malty, full breadyness. Medium dried fruits. Very gentle at first, but an enormous aftertaste of caramel, daded, raisins. 14% is rediculously well hidden. Lovely!
