Pours a red-amber. Clear. Scent is a lot of red fruit-puree. Raspberry sauce, red berries (groseille), 'neuzekes' (candy). Taste is full, sweet - obviously - but the honey character is surprisingly pronounced underneath the red fruit. Pretty balanced, more so than I anticipated. Not an out-of-this-world body (nor complexity) making this mead dangerously drinkable. After numerous warning of this being 'very sweet', I didn't expect to enjoy this one as much as I do. Simple, that's true, but in no way off or unenjoyable.
