Bottle from Uncle Richard in Sandy. Shared from Si's Christmas present. Classic amateur homebrew smell of apple, which I must say I actually enjoy in beers. There's a rustic feel to it. A nice golden colour, although a lot of sediment. Taste and finish is quaffable with a good bitterness, although the use of Bavaria hops here makes it taste more like a lager/pilsner at times. No discernable British golden crunch. On cask at a pub in Bedfordshire, this could be a stunning quaffable beauty to go the distance with. On bottle, it comes across as simple, gluggable homebrew. Was quite unimpressed by it at first, but is drinkable af. Certainly confused but it went down and tasted fine, so whatever, 3.4.
