Cask at Furnace, Derby. Pours almost black with a small foamy cream head. There’s a strong aroma of chocolate and fruitcake. Chocolate again to the fore in the mouth, along with sponge cake, jam, alcoholic strength and traces of vanilla and liquorice. A heady concoction with a syrupy texture and a boozy finish. Awesome !

Cask at the Peterborough beer festival 2022. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma and taste are malty roasted sweet with sweet coffee. And some nuttiness. Smooth and sweet.
