Flanders red style sour beer, aged in red wine barrels.
Only available for limited amount of time on tap. It’s a flanders red style sour beer, aged for 1 year in red wine barrels (Refošk mostly), with light acetic bite, soft medium lactic acid sourness, fruity esters, oak tannins, hints of leather funk and a caramel backbone, smooth and easy to drink

Pivo sodi v still flandrijskega rdečega, klasičnega belgijskega kislega piva.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a clear amber with a tiny, off-white head. Nose is a fun blend of brown ale and acetic Flemish Red, but all pretty subtle. Medium body, lowish carbonation, tart red berries, fruity, some wood. It's a decent attempt at the style in a beautiful bottle, but it's not very potent or powerful - and comes nowhere near the Belgian classics.. 230818

Sour cherries, cassis, red wine vinegar, strawberries, fermentation. Pleasantly sour, vinegary fermentation acidity. Very clean, well done.

On tap at Sir Williams Pub, Ljubljana, Slovenia. Shared with Višnja 666 and Pilot Goran, summer of 2017. Clear ruby red, medium creamy off-white head. Fruity, toasty, juicy, citrus, wood and lightly roasty. Fairly sour, roasty and dry. Medium body, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Very nicely aromatic and dry.

Pours fairly clear, coppery red color, topped with a thin and non lasting head. Milder soury nose, wine quality in combination with berry feel. Later slightly woody, vanilla like and sweet liquor (cherry). Just a hint of sweetness, followed immediately by medium soury feel, slightly puckery and vinous. A bit woody and herbal quality, slightly nutty, Fresh and refreshing feeling, lighter body but still complex enough. Nice one.

On tap at the 6th Croatian Homebrew Competition. Slightly hazy ruby body with a lasting off white head. Fruity aroma, pretty clean, strawberries, cherries (and an ange.... control yourself Marko!), light tartness. Fresh tart taste, similar fruitiness as in the aroma (cherry), lactic tartness (not really acetic, but I don’t miss that at all here, what little there is is nicely integrated). Quite drinkable. Excellent start from some excellent and knowledgeable people, great job!

Tap at Hrvatsko Homebrew Prvenstvo. Complex, rich, subtle. Starts off moderately sour, but boasting lots of fruitiness, red fruits. Eventually opens up a bit more as it warms and as you adjust to the sourness, coming through as caramelly and woody. Welldeveloped, very refreshing and moreish. A great beer that even Belgians could be proud of.
