Spontaan is brewed with organic malt and oats that grew next to the brewery. We used the last cold night of the brewing season 2019/2020 to cool down the beer in the coolship. The natural microorganisms settled in the beer and caused a spontaneous fermentation. After 22 months in red wine barrels, we blended the beer and re-fermented it in bottles. The beer shows notes of blood orange, wood and red wine. Bottled February 2022, 710 bottles

Taster at BXLBeerfest. Orange hazy color, small white head. smells funky, earthy, grassy, herbal. Very nice smell. Full body, soft carbonation. tastes earthy, grassy, herbal, peppery, stone fruits, some wood. Finishes dry and light to medium sour with notes of grass, earthy and peppery notes. Very nice one, lovely balance

A little cloudy orange blond beer, no head. Aroma: funky, sourish impression, wood notes, dry impression, fruity, juicy, some apricots. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, fruity, juicy, dry. Aftertaste: funky, green apples, some tannins, ok!
