A classic Belgian dubbel, fermented with Belgian yeast for a massive bubblegum, fruity ester profile. This has been made extra fruity by the addition of plum in the fermentation.

Tap at the two trees micro Watford. A hazed dirty amber coloured pour with a lasting small beige head. Aroma is semi sweet, jammy fruit, tart blueberry, earthy toasted malts, . Flavour is composed of, solvent alcohol, chestnuts, some woodland berries, , toasted grains. Palate is semi sweet, light tart, grainy, highish carbonation. Not a huge fan.

3/9/2022. Draught at BrewDog, Norwich. Pours unclear and slightly murky mid-brown with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is fruity, malty, dried fruits, plum, toffee, bread, yeast. Medium sweetness and light to moderate bitterness. Medium body, smooth, soft carbonation. Came together okay but I’ve enjoyed the others I’ve had from this brewery more.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - cloudy brown. Off white head. Nose - big toffee note, then dried fruit not necessarily plum but could be. Taste ,definitely plum.this time, going into rhubarb and toffee backdrop as expected. Palate - medium bodied and sweet. Overall - decent example of the atyle but wanting a Belgian yeast tang to make it more drinkable.

Keg @ Medicine Tap, Rochdale. Cloudy mid-brown with a thick smooth head and a smooth texture. It’s hoppy with light plum notes in both aroma and taste.

Murky amber beer, thin head. Fruity aroma. Flavour has fruit, toasty malt, a bit of hop. Earthy malt finish with the fruit lingering as well. Not bad.
