Bottle, 150cl, courtesy of Fonefan. Front label says 2009, backlabel 2008. Guess the front label refers to when it was bottled. It’s a still, hazy orange beer with a minimal off-white head. There’s a rubbery touch to the aroma, with caramel and malts as a base. Some alcohol shines through. Sweet, citrusy flavor with a rubbery touch, caramel, some berries and alcohol. Quite fruity. Full-bodied, astringens and quite palate-cleansing. Rubbery finish. A quite loverly beer, but I didn’t like the rubbery edge, and preferes the regular Bon-Chien 2008. 090822

Bottle Pours out a dark amber topped with a small off white head. Aroma was of white vinegar, tart fruits, and some oak. Taste was more of the tart fruit and vinegar. Along with some band-aid. Thanks ditmier.

Shared by rceisla, thanks a lot Ryan. The bottle is a bit of a a gusher. Color is thick dark orange/dark amber color. Surprisingly, the head is not so big for a gusher. Aroma is thick barrel acetic with some oak sugar but it works well. Mainly because there is some cool peach in the flavor as well. Flavor has more of an earthy musty rotten orange with acetic qualities backing it up. Some rotten apple finishes it off. A very thick mouthfeel helps alleviate the rougher edges of the beer. The mouthfeel is thick yet carbonated. It has a long orange and acetic aftertaste. I like it, the aggressive acetic qualities are balanced off. And this bottle is carbonated.

VJ1 2008 Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a foamy, off-white head over a murky amber body. Aroma of brett, vinegar, flowers, oak, cherry, wine and honeysuckle. Taste is sour, vinegar, a touch meaty, some grape and vanilla sweetness. Slightly puckering. Tastes a bit young. More carbonation than I remember on other barrel aged Bon-Chiens. Alcohol evident and a dry mouthfeel.

Bottle 150 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Front label claims this to be brewed in 2009, back label mentions 2008 - not sure what to believe. Pours a hazy amber golden with tiny floating impurities and a small off-white head. Tart aroma with some Brett. Medium body, tart dried fruitiness, spicy, some hops. Tart finish. There’s an edge from the barrel that isn’t completely pleasant. 220809
