Bottle at the source. Pours a dark reddish brown colour with small beige head. Aroma of bread crust, caramel, milk chocolate, grains and brown sugar. Flavour of bread crust, grains, brown sugar and fudge. Has a slick mouth feel, light body and a soft bitterness. Okay but a little careful.

330 ml bottle, from the brewery's off-licence. ABV is 4.7%. Deep reddish brown colour, large to moderate beige head. The aroma has the expected notes of chocolate and caramel, also hints of brown bread and burnt breadcrumbs. Smooth mouthfeel. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, also fruity notes of prunes and a hint of honey, but not too sweet. A slight bitterness in the aftertaste. Very pleasant to drink.

Bottle. It's a hazy dark chestnut colored beer with a big, creamy beige head. Nice lacing. The aroma is roasted and lightly burnt, with dark chocolate and some caramel hints. Honey and some nuts and yeast too. It's medium bodied and very smooth on the palate, with some sweetness and a light but matching bitterness. Roasted malts, burnt hints, some dark chocolate and a hint of nuts in the flavor. There's also some dark dried fruit and honey, and a faint piney hoppyness. Medium length finish. Feels a bit unfinished this one, else decent. 220907
