500 ml bottle, from a potential importer. ABV is 4.2%. Deep copper to chestnut colour (if this beer was a horse, the colour would be called "bay"). Large off-white head. Nice aroma of ripe Nordic fruits and berries, hints of blackcurrant leaves, also notes of toffee, sweet biscuits and caramel malts. The flavour is malty but not too sweet, mild roasty notes, some fruit, also biscuits. Dry and "dusty" English hops in the finish.

Bottle. Clear auburn body with a thin beige head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of tea, raisins, grass and copper. Flavour of grass, caramel and a hint of oak on the finish. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. Subtle and delicate.

Aroma is really light with some toffee, hay, caramel and biscuits. Flavour has nice hops with toffee, nuts, caramel, hints of hay and biscuits. The fruity hops is the thing here; otherwise this would be just another bitter.

50cl bottle, BBE 07/2012. Poured dark mahogany/copper color witha creamy, perfect white head, lacing. Aroma has malt, toffee, chocolate and nuts. Flavor is caramel, some roastedness, chocolate and hops. Dry and bitter finish with dark chocolate notes that lasts. Another great beer from this brewry.

Pours light brown with a smooth white head. Light aroma of caramel malts, hops and hints of toffee. Taste is slightly malty with notes of caramel, toffee, and some grassy hops. Finish is bready with some sticky notes. Okay, quite well balanced dark bitter.

Dark amber...frrothy whte head..clear..quite good lacing
Aroma...light....caramel malts..and light hops...bit of fruit
Taste...caramel malts...light roast...soft fruityness...bitter hops
Palate...soft carb...light body... some bitter light roast with some sweet malts....Finish...roast is more prominent with a bit over lingering bitterness...much more flavour in the finish
Overall - Reasonable bitter - the flavours came out much more when it went flat and warm in the glass (after being left out for 4 hours (!))

Deep amber color, good creamy off-white head, some lace. Salty hoppy and nutty nose. Good body for this abv, although finish is a bit watery. Licorice-hoppy flavor, light lingering hoppyness. Very typical British bitter and reminds me about Fullers ESB and other Fullers bitters.

(bottle) Clear, dark amber colour with a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Caramely malty aroma with spicy and subtle fruity hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Toasted malty taste with present notes of caramel, accompanied by mainly fruity hops; quite dry and bitter-sweet finish with a lasting hoppy tail. 03.IX.11
