Bottle. pale amber color. Dried fruitm vanilla, oak and pinot noir grapes in the aroma. Malty sweet, very vinous flavor. Lots of raisin, oak, vanilla. Bottom fermented, says the label. I can’t believe it! A masterpiece of brewing art.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein leicht trübes dunkel oranges Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Vanille, Holz, reife Früchte, genauso ist auch der Geschmack.

375ml bottle. Hazy orangey to amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity and yeasty aroma has notes of orange, bitter orange, orange zest, grapes. Taste is moderately sweet, sugary, has a tart note, fruity notes of orange, grapes; a vinous touch as well as resemblance to sparkling wine (rosé). Completely hidden alcohol, almost light, too sweet. Interesting experiment. Doppelbock???

Deutlich zu süßer Antrunk. Leicht nach Trauben, langweilig. Zuckrig, mild, wenig hopfig, alkoholisch. Weich aromatisch, die Lagerung hat dem Bier nicht gut getan. 10/9/9/9/9/9

Sektflasche: Golden, cloudy with an orangey sheen, mid-sized stable off-white head with a little lace, aromas of vanilla, wood, sourish fruits and some sweet pale malt in the nose; solid sweet-sourish flavour, full bodied and quite soft; the always present soft acidity accompanies the smooth fruity-woody finish. A fantastic Old Ale from Germany…

Bottle @ Christers. Pours hazy burnt orange with a white head. Aroma of malt, yeast, caramel, heavy vanilla, oak, light sourness. Sounds messy, but is quite nice. Flavor is rather sweet with malts, little yeast, oak, vanilla, fruity, booze. Full body, soft carbonation, strong warming alcohol in the finish. A little to much alcohol, otherwise nice. 040213

37,5 cl bottle @ vPBF
Aroma has some sugar, raisins and hints of alcohol. Flavour is rather strong on woody notes, some raisins and sugar. Way too sweet.
