Riserva 2011 bottle from kappldav123. Black and opague. Dried fruit, roast, licorice and cream sherry in the aroma. Tart, soutish, vinous flavor with red wine and dried red fruit. Citrus. Full bodied. Infection? Intended?? It worked out fine in this brew. Not a traditional imperial stout, just concentrated sour fruit. Not a trace of alcohol. What a most peculiar beer. Smells like a stout, tastes like a concentrated fruit beer. Peach. mango. Complex. Delicious.

Etwas schokoladig, eher simpler Ausklang. OK. 10/11/11/11/9/11

Bottled@Monks Café Wallingatan (thanks to the Riegele brewers and Recep!). Deep ruby colour, close to black, with a mediumsized brown head. Aroma is smoked wet wood, some mild wooden notes, mild chocolate, coffee and dark fruityness. Flavour is being quite similar, but the alcohol is also quite evident in the flavour.

Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Verydark brown, no head. Aroma of sherry, viola, red wine and coffee. Mid sweet with full body and soft, dense mouthfeel. Mellow and relaxed with chocolate and ripe plums. Mildly warming finish with some bitterenss. Nice, fullflavoured imperial stout, very far from what you’d expect from a German brewer.
