Traditional Düsseldorf Style Alt Bier. Malt forward, clean, and crisp with a nice hop bitterness and fruity esters.
Unique, fruity, and crisp, this German-style ale is brewed like a lager and is as charming and lovely as its namesake - our lil’ Elvis cat.

17 September 2022. At Tapster Wicker, Chicago. Shared with the lovely Anke!
Hazy brown, frothy, tan head. Aroma of prune, cassis, fig, red apple. Taste has sweetish prune & fig, toffee maltiness and some herbs. Soft earthy hoppy finish with dried fruits. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Unconvincing, but funny to come across an Altbier anyway.

Pour is a dark mahogany with a small white head. Aroma is some molasses and cherry malt. Flavor is more molasses and cherry wood with some treacle. Quite flavorful for a beer at only 4.3% abv.
