With this Bock our master brewer has managed to create a very special beer. It was developed based on various old recipes from the Baumburg Abbey Brewery. The basis is the Baumburger barley, which has been cultivated in its own fields around Baumburg for centuries. This is then transported by our partners on site to a small malting facility near Altötting, where it is refined to Baumburger barley malt by an experienced master brewer.

330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with small to average firm frothy white head. Grainy aroma, slightly strawy, some caramel malt. Taste is caramel malty with well balanced hoppy counterpart, minimal fruity touch and a hint of honey. Light version of "Heller Bock" with very nice, especially not to sweet taste.

9/10/11/9/10/10

(bottle, 33cl) Slightly hazy, pale golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Slightly bready malty aroma with citric and slightly herbal hops. Sweet flavour with a light level of bitterness, medium bodied with an almost crisp carbonation. Pale malt-character with bready, yeasty and subtle fruity notes; moderately sweet malty and shy bitter hoppy finish with citric fruity notes in the aftertaste. Not bad, dangerously “süffig”. 22.VIII.11

Bottle: Hazy, greenish-golden, quickly vanishing fluffy white head; light to moderate bisquity nose with a slight peppermint-like herbal touch; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, soft, but relatively light bodied for a beer of 6.8%; light sweet-bitter finish with a slightly lingering mild alcohol-burn in the aftertaste, that proves, that this is a kind of Bock......
