With this Bock our master brewer has managed to create a very special beer. It was developed based on various old recipes from the Baumburg Abbey Brewery. The basis is the Baumburger barley, which has been cultivated in its own fields around Baumburg for centuries. This is then transported by our partners on site to a small malting facility near Altötting, where it is refined to Baumburger barley malt by an experienced master brewer.

33cl bottle. Unclear deep golden, thin white head. Bready, grainy, hint of alcohol, some berries in aroma as well. Flavor has white bread, alcohol, caramel, some sweetness. Easy to drink, quite tasty despite the alcohol coming through a little.

Bottle. Mealy, fruity and quite sweet honeyish aroma - seems cloying in the start but gets nicer over time. Dark golden, fine carbonation, low head. Sweet fullbodied base with noice honeyish and flowery hoparomatic overtones, berry notes and christmas spices in the background. Fullbodied, mellow mouthfeeel, quite well balanced despite the initial sweetness.

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of straw, alcohol, malt, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, bread, and caramel, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass not too zippy, small head. Starts strong, spicy, grasy notes, a bit sourish. Finish unbalanced, a bit moldy and dry. Nothing special.
