Brewed with pale ale malt, fermented with ale yeast and then conditioned like a lager, Suntrap is the best of both worlds. A crisp, refreshing, light blonde beer that tastes like summer all year round…
Suntrap was inspired by a trip to Cologne in Germany, where their local beer – Kölsch – is drunk everywhere. It’s fermented at a lower temperature than is usual for a pale ale, and then cold-conditioned to bring out a clean, lager-like flavour.

Can from Two Thirsty Men. It pours clear blonde with a dissipating fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, clean, doughy white bread, rich tea biscuit, touch of sweetness and some grass. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, prickly, toasty grains, grassy, leafy, dougy white bread, custard creams and straw with a dry, prickly carbonation. Light + body and fairly high, prickly carbonation. Quenching in the heat, but not a huge amount to it.

440ml can from brewery shop - clear gold, thick white head. Bright citrus flavours with a slight grassy contrast, very clean and fresh, a good quaffable drink.

10/2/2026. Can bought direct from the brewery. Pours fine. Aroma is quite grainy, malty, some stewed fruits, slight spiced orange notes. Quite sweet, mild bitterness, touch of tart. Has a crispness to it. Not bad. Hybrid beer part-pale/blonde, part-lager/Kölsch and it does pick up those latter elements.

Cask up the White Lady, as a pale ale at 4.6%. Just 11 miles from the brewery! Pours clear pale gold with a decent white head. Aromas of cooked orange and biscuit. Taste is malt sweet, hint of lemon verbena and orange zest. Light sweet finish.
